When to Renew Your Trademark
Your trademark is valid for 10 years from the date of filing the original application — not from the date the registration certificate was issued. This is a common source of confusion. Restoration After Removal — The Most Expensive Option
After the 6-month grace period expires, the trademark is removed from the Trade Marks Register. Once removed, it becomes available for registration by anyone — including your competitors. To recover your trademark, you must file for Restoration using Form TM-13 under Rule 73 of the Trade Marks Rules 2017. The restoration cost is:

Warning: Restoration is not guaranteed. The Registrar has discretion to reject a restoration application.
